Onyx Stainless Steel Ice Cube Trays: Back to the Future

The Onyx Stainless Steel Ice Cube Trays are a flash from the past!  Made from heavy duty 18/8 stainless steel, the two part system goes back to the trays of 1950’s, but without the aluminum and plastic!  I’m sure you know how much we love our glass and stainless steel, but we really weren’t expecting to be so impressed with these trays.  We can truly see them lasting a life time!

Our Favorite Features

  • Easy to use and clean
  • Nice large sized ice cubes
  • Lever makes releasing the ice easy
  • Stainless Steel freezes ice cubes quickly
  • No more cracked plastic ice trays leaking in the freezer
  • Made to last (I think my Grandma still has hers!) – reducing plastic waste in the landfill
  • Tested for lead safety and manufactured by a company who makes monitoring quality a priority

I just love these ice cube trays. We also did a test on them a long time ago and found them to be very durable and easy to use. But most of all, they are BPA free!

Thanks. Saw these and thought they were terribly expensive, but now I am getting some anyway. One weak arm due to MS, and too hard to twist the plastic ones. Plus, though they were supposed to be nice ones, two have cracked cups that leak in freezer. And these will be healthier.

We had aluminum ones when I was a kid. Stainless steal will be so much better.
